Project Target Group:
The direct beneficiaries of the project activities will be 9,000 adolescents aged 14-19 who use drugs (AUD) and their sexual partners, in small towns and villages of the seven oblasts of Ukraine
Project regions (oblast):
Poltava, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Odesa, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernivtsi
Overall Project Goal:
contribute to lowering HIV rates among adolescents who use drugs (AUD) and their sexual partners by improving access to quality HIV prevention, treatment and support services in urban and rural areas in Ukraine
Specific Objectives (expected outcomes):
- Improve access for 9,000 adolescents who use drugs (AUD) and their sexual partners by introducing innovative youth-friendly outreach models.
- Build capacity of nine CBOs to extend and deliver quality services to adolescents who use drugs (AUD) and their sexual partners.
- Create an enabling and protective environment by improving current policies and regulations to address structural barriers to AUD access to HIV prevention, treatment and support services in the regions.
