Clients of the Compass Center visited the Patrol Police Office

You don’t see the smiling faces of teenagers in a patrol car every day, but on Wednesday you could. The clients of the Kharkiv Center “Compass” (СO “KCF “Blago”) visited the Kharkiv regional Department of patrol police. The teenagers visited the head of the Department of patrol police, asked him questions and received full and meaningful answers, and also tried to put on the special equipment (body armour, portable radio, camera), sat for a while in a special car, and took a ride in a patrol car.

Artem, the client of the project: “After this excursion, I have a new dream – when I grow up, I will try to join the ranks of the patrol police to law enforcement and protection of peace in our city.”

This is not the first meeting with the patrol police. The purpose of such excursions is to change the attitude of the clients of the project “Bridging the Gaps: Health And Rights For Key Populations” to the police and building trust with law enforcement agencies.

Vadym Lisnychuk, the head of the Kharkiv regional Department of patrol police told the teenagers: “Friends, promise me that you will not be afraid to take responsibility for your actions.”

The teenagers also learned more about how to behave with patrol policeman and which riot control weapons a policeman has during patrols.

The Center “Compass” team thanks to their partners from the Kharkiv regional Department of patrol police for an informative, practical, very interesting and rich excursion!
