On December 18, 2015 in the city of Telavi (Georgia) Public Union “Bemoni” opened a social enterprise – cafe “Bemoni Culinar”.

In the opening ceremony top officials of the city participated – the mayor of the town of Telavi Platon Kalmakhelidze; vice mayor Tengiz Kalmakhelidze; deputy governor of Kakheti region Givi Metreveli, representatives of partner organizations, business sector and others. With this event “Bemoni” team catched the interest of local governments, as well as did advertisement for the cafe – the event was broadcast on Telavi TV channel «Tanamgzavri».

“Such initiatives are important for our city, and they will have our support. Of special note is that this has been done in the historic part of Telavi,” – commented on the event Platon Kalmakhelidze, Mayor of Telavi.

After the official part, the guests tasted the “Bemoni Culinar” dishes. In the next day at the cafe income was 106 Lari (42 Euro).

The social enterprise was opened in the framework of the project “Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights for Key Populations”  that implements the ICF “AIDS Foundation East-West» (AFEW-Ukraine) in cooperation with the Bemoni Public Union, Center for Information and Counseling on Reproductive Health – Tanadgoma and NGO “The World of Tolerance”. The project is implemented with the financial support of Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
