
On July 26-29 was held the training on planning of advocacy and communication strategies for the protection of the rights of juvenile drug users within the project “Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights for Key Populations” (ICF “AIDS Foundation East-West” (AFEW-Ukraine)) and the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria project “Investing for Impact against Tuberculosis and HIV” (ICF “Alliance for Public Health”).
The aim of the training to help organizations providing services to most-at-risk adolescents in development of the advocacy and communication strategies to ensure the rights of juvenile drug users to access HIV prevention services.

Employees of 10 regional organizations that works with the target group participated (took part) in the training. Particular attention was given to regional needs and problems. The participants got an opportunity to set their own goals in their work, as they know the real needs of adolescent drug users in their regions.

All results of the training will be included in advocacy and communication strategies, which will be implemented starting this fall.
