Project Target Group:
Direct project beneficiaries are adolescents and young people (14-19 y.o.).
Project regions (oblast):
Poltava, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, and Chernivtsi regions.
Overall Project Goal:
to enhance personal leadership and empower at least 500 adolescents/young key populations through the Dance4Life Empowerment Model for promoting human rights and gender equality in their communities.
Specific Objectives (expected outcomes):
Outcome 1. Youth leaders in Chernivtsi, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad and Poltava regions of Ukraine are empowered and actively involved in promoting equal attitudes and changing gender norms.
Main outputs:
- 40 peer leaders are selected and trained in facilitation skills and training delivery;
- peer leaders deliver 24 “Journey4Life” programme cycles (240 sessions) in their regions;
- 20 youth leaders are trained in public speaking, advocacy, project development during Leadership Summer School.
Outcome 2. Young people in various educational institutions in 4 regions of Ukraine are equipped with knowledge, skills and confidence to protect their health, rights and promote gender equality.
Main outputs:
- At least 500 young people in 4 regions were reached with Journey4Life programme;
- At least 12 social events conducted by young people in their communities aiming at promotion gender equality and human rights.
Outcome 3. Referral systems to respond to human rights violations and needs in SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights) services of adolescents, especially most-at-risk, established and used in 4 regions of Ukraine.
Main output:
- Young people are referred for friendly services to protect their rights and meet their SRHR needs and receive proper services and support.
