AFEW-Ukraine announces a call for proposals for graphic design services!

AFEW-Ukraine invites design consultants to collaborate on the development of informational materials!

If you are passionate about creating vibrant visuals, have experience designing layouts for informational and educational materials, are looking for an opportunity to work with an international organization on a consultancy basis, and are eager to support the development of the public sector – join us!

 

1. Purpose

Providing design support to AFEW-Ukraine in creating informational materials, reports, research publications, and other visual products.

2. Key Responsibilities

  1. Designing Layouts for Informational Materials:
    • Brochures, booklets, and posters.
    • Infographics and data visualizations.
    • Presentations and reports.
  2. Creating Visual Content for Digital Platforms:
    • Web design elements (illustrations, banners).
  3. Working with Text and Graphic Content:
    • The layout of documents and printed materials.
    • Preparing print-ready designs according to printing house technical requirements.
  4. Team Collaboration:

 

  • Design creation following the technical requirements provided by the team;
  • Adapting designs to align with the organization’s branding style.
  • Coordinating materials with internal stakeholders (coordinators, managers).

3. Requirements

  1. Education:
    • Relevant education in graphic design (or proven experience).
  2. Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience in graphic design. Experience in creating designs for NGOs, social initiatives, or businesses will be an advantage.
  3. Portfolio:
    • A strong portfolio showcasing work on layouts for informational materials, reports, research documents, and data visualizations.
  4. Tools:
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, and other design tools.
  5. Additional Skills:
    • Ability to adapt designs for various formats (print materials, digital presentations, banners).
    • Attention to detail, especially when working with text, tables, and graphics.
    • Compliance with the organization’s brand guidelines.
  6. Preferred Experience:
    • Collaboration with non-profit or charitable organizations.
  7. Personal Qualities:
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Strong teamwork and deadline management skills.
  • Willingness to adapt designs to organizational standards.

4. Expectations

  1. Creation of modern, visually appealing, and functional designs for informational materials.
  2. Timely completion of tasks following agreed deadlines.
  3. Ensuring that all created materials adhere to the organization’s branding standards.

5. Terms of Collaboration

  1. Type of Contract: Freelance, remote collaboration.
  2. Workload: Depends on the number of projects (flexible schedule).
  3. Deadlines: Set individually for each project.
  4. Compensation: Determined based on hourly/daily rates or the project volume.
  5. Duration: Long-term, with the possibility of continued collaboration.
