This activity is a part of the project \u201cBridging the Gaps: Health and Rights for Key Populations\u201d. \u00a0Deadline for submission of concept notes <em>\u2013<\/em> March 22, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Background and project description<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bridging the Gaps is a multy country project working towards fulfilling three long-term goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A strengthened civil society that holds governments to account;<\/li>\n<li>Increased fulfillment of human rights of key populations;<\/li>\n<li>Improved SRHR and fewer HIV transmissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Georgia, the project is being implemented since 2012 and focused on people who use drugs (PWUD). The second phase of the project started in 2016 and will finish in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the fact that women who use drugs are one of the most stigmatized populations in Georgia <em>AFEW-Ukraine<\/em> is looking for new partners that would be able to contribute to improving access to services for women who use drugs and reducing stigma and discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>More information about the project and its activities can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/afew.org.ua\/en\/project\/bridging-the-gaps-health-and-rights-for-key-populations-ge-phase-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hivgaps.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Target group:<\/em><\/strong> women who use drugs<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Priority areas (one or more priority areas can be chosen):<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>provision of direct services for women who use drugs focusing on reducing drug related harm, improving sexual and reproductive health and rights;<\/li>\n<li>empowerment and mobilization of women who use drugs community;<\/li>\n<li>advocacy and fulfillment of human rights of women who use drugs;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Final date of concept submission:<\/em><\/strong> March 22, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>All participants will receive answers from <em>AFEW-Ukraine<\/em> by March 29, 2019. All successful participants will be invited to submit full project proposal by April 12, 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Maximum amount<\/em><\/strong>: 13\u00a0000 Euro<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Duration of the project:<\/em><\/strong> by December 31, 2019 with possible continuation of cooperation in 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Who can apply:<\/em><\/strong> civil society organizations, working in the field of HIV\/AIDS prevention, sexual and reproductive health and rights, human rights promotion, advocacy and community mobilization for\/among women who use drugs officially registered in Georgia.
