to 22, 2024, in Truskavets, we conducted a training session as part of the project &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/afew.org.ua\/en\/project\/emergency-support-of-hiv-and-srhr-services-for-adolescents-who-use-drugs-in-war-and-post-war-times-in-ukraine\/\">Emergency Support for HIV and STI Prevention Services for Adolescents with Drug Use Experience During and After the War in Ukraine,&#8221;<\/a> funded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expertisefrance.fr\/en\/web\/guest\/accueil\">Expertise France<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/linitiative.expertisefrance.fr\/en\/\">L\u2019Initiative.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The training aimed to enhance participants&#8217; knowledge of effective service delivery to adolescents with drug use experience, improve counseling skills among project team members, and create optimal conditions for the health, safety, and development of adolescents in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>partners<\/strong><\/span> actively participated in the training, including:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><a text-token-text-primary h-8 w-8\">The tasks participants set for themselves at the beginning of the training include:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"group\/conversation-turn relative flex w-full min-w-0 flex-col agent-turn\">\n<div class=\"flex-col gap-1 md:gap-3\">\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col flex-grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 overflow-x-auto whitespace-normal\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"8c966e70-5bdd-46fd-96b1-2fff3863b956\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"result-streaming markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Update<\/strong> knowledge on the standards for providing psychosocial services to vulnerable adolescents with drug use experience<\/li>\n<li><strong>Understand<\/strong> the behavioral characteristics of adolescents who use drugs<\/li>\n<li><strong>Learn<\/strong> to more effectively conduct group prevention sessions, interactive activities, and art therapy<\/li>\n<li><strong>Get acquainted<\/strong> with new colleagues from different project teams and establish new professional and personal contacts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Acquire<\/strong> knowledge of effective offline and online forms and methods of working with at-risk adolescents in individual and group settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>The participants showed the most interest in the following topics:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Standards for providing psychosocial services to vulnerable adolescents according to best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Principles of setting work goals with clients and tracking project indicators.<\/li>\n<li>Development of skills for individual and group counseling of adolescents.<\/li>\n<li>Prevention of professional burnout among specialists.<\/li>\n<li>Integration of new employees into teams and the development of effective team collaboration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Thanks to the professional work of the trainers\u2014<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/help24.org.ua\/uk\/profiles\/mentors\/136\">Svitlana Haiduk<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/p\/%D0%9E%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%BA%D1%81%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B4%D1%80-%D0%9C%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%B8%D0%BB%D0%BA%D0%B0-100002926837917\/?paipv=0&amp;eav=AfaCI8gakn9PvSsWjwgD9WFbgD3ZUmDksX7Fc8r5hu2NzFtZ2uq4jmhXFKFi6JU_IdA&amp;_rdr\">Oleksandr Mohylka<\/a><\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/nataliiagrishyna\"><strong>Nataliia Hryshyna<\/strong><\/a>\u2014the participants gained new knowledge and skills that will help them adolescents in the digital space.<\/p>\n<p>3. <strong>Apply new therapeutic approaches:<\/strong> use techniques like motivational interviewing and group therapy to support adolescents in challenging life situations and promote positive behavioral changes.<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Improve work with families:<\/strong> better engage with the families of adolescents, fostering greater support and involvement in the change process.<\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>Teach and share experiences:<\/strong> pass on the skills and knowledge acquired to other team members, helping to raise the team&#8217;s overall
