Youth RISE, an international organization that mobilizes youth to be engaged in full spectrum harm reduction and drug policy reform to promote health and human rights, in consortium with Youth LEAD and Y + \u00a0has recently published the report called \u2018Harm Reduction Services For Young People Who Inject Drugs\u2019. The report, among other things, acknowledges the contribution that AFEW-Ukraine has made in order to meet the needs of those Ukrainian adolescents use drugs.<\/p>\n
Since 2011 within the framework of projects \u00a0\u2018Bridging the gaps- Health and Rights of Key Populations\u00a0 and \u201cUnderaged, overlooked: Improving Access to Integrated HIV Services for Adolescents Most at Risk in Ukraine\u201d, AFEW-Ukraine has been working towards\u00a0 improving access \u00a0of youth\u00a0 to quality HIV prevention, treatment, and support services in urban and rural areas in 7 oblasts of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The projects have contributed both to structural achievements and changes in the lives of young people who use drugs in Ukraine. Despite numerous challenges on its way (with stigma against young people who use drugs being the most considerable one) AFEW-Ukraine\u2019s team and its partners are committed to continue supporting\u00a0 and further developing youth-friendly services\u00a0 and develop youth empowerment programs to improve and health and well being of young people in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
AFEW-Ukraine is planning to continue supporting young people\u2019s health and well being within the framework of its activities in the future.<\/p>\n
