{"id":1764,"date":"2015-05-17T14:53:08","date_gmt":"2015-05-17T14:53:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/afew.org.ua\/pro-konferentsiyu\/"},"modified":"2015-10-05T15:15:30","modified_gmt":"2015-10-05T15:15:30","slug":"about-conference","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/afew.org.ua\/en\/conference-2015\/about-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"About Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>International Scientific and Practical Conference \u201cEffective approaches to working with adolescents with substance use experience\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18-20 November 2015<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotelrus.kiev.ua\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Hotel Rus<\/a><br \/>\nKyiv, Ukraine<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective:<\/strong><br \/>\nimproving the system of working with adolescents with substance use experience at the regional and national levels, identifying the most effective approaches to provide preventive, social, psychological and correctional services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to present innovative methods and approaches in working with the adolescents with substance use experience;<\/li>\n<li>to present the findings and achievements of the project &#8220;Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights for Key Populations&#8221; that has been implemented since 2011 by the International Charitable Foundation \u201cAIDS Foundation East-West\u201d (<em>AFEW-Ukraine<\/em>) <strong>&#8220;<\/strong> with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands;<\/li>\n<li>to facilitate the exchange of experience and establishing partnerships between professionals working in the field of providing assistance to the adolescents with substance use experience;<\/li>\n<li>to actualize the need to create\/improve standards on providing social services, as well as certification of specialists and programmes in respect to the target group;<\/li>\n<li>to present international experience on working with underage juvenile offenders and discuss prospects for the development and implementation of juvenile justice;<\/li>\n<li>to assist in ensuring human rights of the most-at-risk adolescents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Handout materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Materials developed within the project &#8220;Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights for Key Populations&#8221;:<br \/>\nTraining and video materials describing the best practices of work with adolescents with substance use experience;<br \/>\n\u2022 Guidelines on protection of the human rights of minors;<br \/>\n\u2022 Training module on teaching adolescents about their rights and responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Materials suggested by partner organizations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Forms of work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plenary sessions;<\/li>\n<li>Interactive seminars and workshops;<\/li>\n<li>Interactive area (video clips, poster presentations, prevention games etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Participants:<\/strong>\u00a0200 experts from all regions of Ukraine, as well as international experts and active clients of HIV prevention programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working language:<\/strong>\u00a0Russian (with translation into English).<\/p>\n<p><strong>All costs of the event (including flight and train tickets, accommodation and meals) are covered by the International Charitable Foundation \u201cAIDS Foundation East-West\u201d (<em>AFEW-Ukraine<\/em>).<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>International Scientific and Practical Conference \u201cEffective approaches to working with adolescents with substance use experience\u201d 18-20 November 2015 Hotel Rus Kyiv, Ukraine Objective: improving the system of working with adolescents with substance use experience at the regional and national levels, identifying the most effective approaches to provide preventive, social, psychological and correctional services.
