General<\/strong> info<\/strong> about<\/strong> Ukraine<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ukraine in a country located in Eastern Europe. It shares\u00a0borders\u00a0with Belarus in the north-west, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary in the west, Romania and Moldova in the south-west, Russia in the east and in the north. In the south it is washed by the Black Sea and in the south-east by the Sea of Azov.
\nUkraine’s area is 603 628 sq km.
\nThe population of Ukraine amounts to 42 965 105 people (as of 01.11.2014 excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and city of Sevastopol) according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
\nCapital: Kyiv (2809 million people).
\nState Language: Ukrainian.
\nThe most widespread religions are: Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Protestant Churches, Judaism, Islam\u00a0(especially among the Crimean Tatars). Most of the believers are Christian.
\nState System: Parliamentary-Presidential Republic.
\nTime zone: EET (UTC+2); Summer time: EEST (UTC+3).
